We had breakfast. It was well priced, the same as a greasy spoon. However, the food was not greasy at all. It was thoughtfully prepared and I didn't feel sick after eating. The dining room is super cute, the waitress was helpful. The real maple syrup with homemade bread french toast for five dollars for four large halves or one four ounce p[portion of awesome jam from a large selection was hugely exciting. The fruit was the biggest surprise, for two bucks we got a big fruit plate with five different kinds of fruit. The star deduction is because the french toast was not soaked in the custard long enough and was dry.

Absolutely love restaurants like The Grafted Root Eatery that are unique, healthy and have great customer service. I enjoyed the Quiche Lorraine and I also ordered one of their organic hot teas. The restaurant is on the smaller side but it has a comfy feeling. On weekends they have entertainment where certain artists come in and perform. I appreciate the lower prices. Breakfast, lunch and dinner items are available all day. There is also a bar in the restaurant as well. I would highly recommend it!

It's so awesome to finally find an eatery in Grand Blanc who utilizes local suppliers to make creative food. The prices are a little high but if you are looking for a unique experience in this area it is worth it. A full bar with several MI beers on tap is a plus! I will be coming back.

Great little restaurant in Grand Blanc. I had the special: blackened trout, with the raw veggies and baked Brie. Really impressed with the commitment to local food. The place itself is intimate, meant for a few friends to get together and have a "home cooked meal" with conversation, sometimes a little music. There's even a book club for locals. The food is simple, but full of flavor. I would come back anytime!

A pleasure for lunch. Cozy atmosphere for a strip mall setting. Had a sandwich on toasted 7 grain bread, roasted carrots, mozzarella, mixed olives, ranch dip and ham - delish!

Small clean quaint restaurant with a limited menu and the daily specials. The service was great and the food was fresh, seasoned perfectly with perfect portions. I had the white fish with a honey mustard and a small wonderful salad . This place is a nice find and worth trying. If I was a local I would be here often.

The inside was very cute and rustic - perfect for brunch. The server was very friendly. However, the wait for the food was forever. My dad ordered the turkey croissant and said it seemed like the bread came from Walmart. His tomato basil soup was good although we were given no spoons. I ordered the daily quiche with fruit and although it tasted good the portion was extremely tiny for $10. For fruit I was given two slices of apple and two slices of orange. Not sure if I'll be back.

I'm in town for a few days and was looking for a place with real food... With real ingredients. Gluten free? Organic? Vegan? Grass fed? This place nails it. With an amazingly thoughtful and comfortable "hang-out" decor vibe and super friendly staff, this is an easy place to come to study, drink coffee, have "a drink", bring a date, and/or eat really creative and thoughtful meals from the menu. Seems like a best kept secret for the Flint area.

First night Grafted Root served Pizza! It was excellent had the goat cheese garlic pizza! Also had the everything pizza and it was also excellent! This maybe a Thursday night event and I would recommend it!

Food was very bland and portion was small. Menu is very limited, don't think they will last very long. Person who seemed to be the owner stayed at one table talking, must have been his friend, but in a small space like that it made my mother and I uncomfortable, like we were unwelcome.

Location is very easily missed as you can't see it from the road. Inside, the decor and ambiance is very homey and relaxed. Seating-wise, it's extremely cramped. I wish my bad experience stopped there, but it only got much, much worse. I was with a group of ten people, and most of us started our meal with the tomato soup. When it arrived, I was very disappointed. The "soup" was indeed not a soup, but a very mealy marinara sauce. The croutons served on the "soup" were so hard, I felt like I was putting my teeth in danger by trying to eat them. I took two spoonfuls of the "soup" before sending it back. I ordered the chicken pot pie. For how expensive the dish cost, I thought it was going to be worth it. I was wrong. The pot pie was very small (too small to be a meal), the crust was extremely dry, mealy, thick, and grainy. Then, to my horror, the veggies and chicken were in a minimum amount of BROTH and were also dry! Now, when you think chicken pot pie, you think of that velvety, thick, and flavorful cream sauce, not bland broth! I and four of the other people at my table who ordered the chicken pot pie all sent it back. A 12 year old at the table ordered the mac and cheese. When he started to eat, he immediately asked if they forgot the cheese in the mac. It was so dry, hard, and crunchy, the usually eats-anything-in-front-of-him 12 year old pushed his plate away, even remarking that the bread that was served with the dish, was stale. My sister ordered the salmon, and the first bite she took, was stabbed in the roof of her mouth with pin bones. Now, if I'm paying $20 for a salmon dish, I expect the easily removed pin bones taken out. It's just common knowledge. Last of all, the pricing was just ridiculous. For two meals and three drinks, one couple at the table had a bill for $67. For the quality and quantity of the food we all received, that is just disgusting. Every person at that table of ten left hungrier than when we arrived, angry, and frustrated. We ended up getting pizza, if that tells you anything. To the "chef" or whomever is in charge of the kitchen: do your business a favor and learn the basic fundamentals of cooking. You have good ideas, but the lack of knowledge and skills to execute them properly. We will never be back.

Just visited this place last night and had a delicious dinner. I tried their trout and it was wonderful. The sides of basmati rice, asparagus and carrots were cooked just right. The only complaint I would have was that we were sitting too close to the piano man and I was unable to hear most of the conversation at our table. Our mistake in planning a night of conversation when the entertainment was so enjoyable! Will be returning for sure.

Very tiny and very friendly. I was a bit worried because I'd heard the place has an emphasis on vegetarian food and I've been disappointed in vegetarian restaurants before. My companion had a carrot soup (with mint, I think) and I had the french toast. Both were really tasty and reasonably priced. I would absolutely go to this restaurant again

New restaurant. Learning what customers like and what menu items can be added. Priority is fresh local food so menu driven by availability. Food was very good and service excellent. We had brunch on Sunday morning. French Toast was well made and tasted awesome. I look forward to watching them grow and cannot wait to see all the exciting new dishes once the weather warns up and more fresh options become available.

I have been dying to eat here ever since hearing about it. They have local, real (not processed) food. I was there at about 10:00 am on Saturday. They were very busy (they were just on the news and I wasn't the only one who wanted to try it). I took my four year old son. The decor is very nice and homey. It is meant to feel like you are in someone's home. We were helped quickly and we both had the French toast. Both of us loved it. The prices are also very reasonable ($5 for French toast). We will definitely be returning.

Had our anniversary breakfast there this morning. The food was fresh and delicious, service was personable, and very reasonably priced. I had a Frittata with spinach, mushrooms and peppers, and half order of French toast with Slow Jam BlackBerry and ginger jam. Yum. And a latte. Both the latte and coffee were great. Can't wait to try this for lunch and dinner. Meredith was an excellent server. Attentive without being annoying. We'll be back for sure. Under $30 with tip.

Simply Amazing. I'm a native of this area, and when we decided to grab breakfast this morning instead of going to our usual Cracker Barrel I said let's see what's around and oh boy we were pleased. After finding the building which wasn't labeled as I thought it would be, we walked into the restaurant greeted with a warm hello and open seating. We sat next to the window because the sun was beautiful outside. From our seat we could see "Grandma" in the kitchen making deliciousness. Most of Everything is home made, and purchased locally and it's mentioned on the menu where the items come from (local farms) I got the blueberry French toast and she got the pancakes with sausage. We were shocked to see how cheap the bill was. I think we've found our new usual

Grafted Root is my favorite local organic breakfast spot! Their french toast and frittatas always leave me wanting to come back again and again. In addition, I love that they change up their menu seasonally. Grafted Root is a small place, but it gives it that warm, welcoming feel when you enter the door. If it was advertised better it would probably become more of a "hit" breakfast place, but I have always had good service and great food here and will be returning again and again!

Beautiful, Old fashioned family eatery with excellent homemade Fritatas, French toast, Strawberry jams with big pieces of strawberry and Pork Sausages. Great ambience and old time American music. Really worth visiting when you are in Grand Blanc, Michigan
